Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

"We", "us", "our" refers to BHL Underfloor Heating Ltd (Companies House 12999659), registered at Stanley Green Trading Estate, Unit G035, Duke Ave, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, SK8 6RX. "You" refers to the customer instructing us to carry out work.

2. Quotations

All written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quoted prices are fixed and inclusive of materials, labour, commissioning, and applicable VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. Any variation requested after acceptance will be quoted separately in writing before being carried out.

3. Payment terms

Payment is due in full within 14 days of satisfactory commissioning on domestic installations. For commercial projects, staged payment terms may apply and will be set out in the project quotation.

4. Access & site conditions

You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the property on the agreed installation dates, together with adequate power and water supplies. Where pre-existing site conditions (asbestos, structural defects, undisclosed services) prevent safe work, we may pause the project and quote separately for remediation.

5. Workmanship warranty

All installation workmanship is covered for 2 years from the date of commissioning. Manufacturer warranties on pipework (typically 25 years), manifolds (10 years), and heat pump units (7 years) are transferred to you in your name on completion.

6. MCS certification

Where the project involves a heat pump installation, MCS certificates and any applicable Boiler Upgrade Scheme paperwork will be submitted within 10 working days of commissioning. The MCS certificate is required to claim the BUS grant.

7. Cancellation

You have the right to cancel a domestic installation contract within 14 days of acceptance without giving any reason, in line with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Once work has started with your express consent, cancellation may incur a reasonable charge for materials supplied and labour performed.

8. Liability

Our liability for any single claim is limited to the contract value, except in cases of death, personal injury, or fraudulent misrepresentation where no limit applies.

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us directly at hello@bhl.direct or 0161 531 1141. Unresolved complaints relating to MCS-certified work may be referred to the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), of which we are a member.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
